EnPolicy Consulting supports the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) in its energy efficiency activities across Europe. Through RAP, Dr Jan Rosenow is a key advisor to the European Commission and the energy efficiency stakeholder community. Our recent work includes a detailed review of the costs and benefits of energy efficiency programmes and ongoing support of the European Commission’s work on the Energy Efficiency Directive.
EnPolicy Consulting carried out a review of market-based instruments for energy efficiency across the globe on behalf of the International Energy Agency. We compiled data on the achieved energy savings and the costs of the programmes. In addition, we evaluated the design features and lessons learned across the world. We also assessed the evidence on ESCO market activity generated through such instruments.
EnPolicy Consulting works closely with USAID in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We developed a concept for an Energy Efficiency Obligation compliant with the requirements put on Energy Community members. This included an evaluation of potential design options, calculating the required target and the resulting costs and economic benefits.
GIZ asked us to develop and run a masterclass in Energy Efficiency Obligations. EnPolicy Consulting presented to GIZ’s energy experts from Central and Eastern Europe covering the basic principles of Energy Efficiency Obligations, the impact such schemes have had across Europe and how to design effective Energy Efficiency Obligations.
